Black Rock High School - November 28. 2022

PARENT INFORMATION

Report Cards

Parents/Guardians, BRHS Report Cards will be coming home with students on December 1st. Please pay particular attention to their credit goal and how much they earned. Meeting their credit goal is the best way to access progress. If the credit goal is met, then graduation is on track. If the goal is not met, then there is a concern that the student may not graduate on time. Of course, those who exceed their credit goals may graduate early.

You can also use Synergy any time to see and monitor progress in current classes. If you have questions about credits, progress, etc. please contact our principal, Mrs. Seacat, or your child's HR teacher.

HONOR'S ASSEMBLY

Our Credit Check 2 Honor's Assembly will be held on December 9th at 12:00 in P-3. Students who earned 13 credits (Honor Roll) or 16 credits (Super Honor Roll) will be recognized along with those students earning Perfect Attendance. Additional awards will also be presented by Homeroom teachers. By checking your child's report card you can determine if Honor Roll was earned (13 or 16+ credits). If you have any questions about the assembly, please contact the office at 760-369-6310.

MODEL SCHOOL VISIT

Black Rock High School is being considered for recognition as a California Model School. We will host visitors on December 6th. They will tour the school, visit classrooms, and ask questions. They are here to learn about all the amazing things we do at BRHS.

ASVAB is for EVERYONE!

On 11/30 we will have the ASVAB, even if you are not interested in the military, this is a great way to look at your strengths or vocational aptitude. Please let your homeroom teacher know or sign up with Ms. Alexander in P-1. You will also earn Guidance Credit.

Gratitude Jar

Mrs. Seacat would love for everyone to create a gratitude jar this November. There are many ways to make it. You can use a real jar or you can create it digitally. The credits earned go to Guidance. Every homeroom teacher has a Google Doc that you can use if you want to make a digital version.
