THIS WEEK:

BUS DUTY REVISED SCHEDULE We have made some small revisions to the bus duty/parent pick-up schedule to improve building security and traffic flow at the end of the day. We will now have two staff members overseeing parent pick-up. The revised schedule can be found on the EES Shared drive.


STUDENT LISTS Helen has been working hard to compile important student lists from the registration verifications parents have completed online. These include information related to publicity, fundraising and paper communication. She will update the lists periodically as new information is received Please be sure to review the publicity list to know which of your students can/cannot be photographed/videotaped.


BUS EVACUATION DRILLS Students may be a few minutes later than usual arriving to your class on Tuesday morning. The buses will be practicing their evacuation drills.


BUILDING THEME: RESPECT LESSONS
Erica and I will be visiting classrooms this week to share lessons around our building wide theme, Respect. Please sign up for a time through the Google doc shared via email. Thank you for reinforcing our school theme as appropriate in your classroom throughout each week.


COORDINATED SCHOOL HEALTH COMMITTEE REPRESENTATIVE Our building needs a representative to serve on the Coordinated School Health Committee which meets the third Tuesday of each month from 4:00-5:00pm at the Ed Center. These meetings will count for one hour of Professional Learning and can be applied to your additional required time for the school year. Please let me know if you are interested.


ASSESSMENT CALENDAR Be sure to reference the assessment calendar for testing windows related to 4Sight (Math / Reading), SRI, and IRLA. It can be found on Sharepoint.

KEEP IN MIND:

CLASSROOM NEWSLETTERS - Please remember to email or give me a copy of any whole class communications that are sent home so I can be aware of all of the great things happening in our classrooms.


SUPERVISION PAPERWORK - For those of you who are not in Clinical Supervision this year, please make sure you select one of the 5 other supervisory choices. I will send out a Google form soon for you to schedule a time to meet with me for a 1/2 hour during the weeks of Oct. 3-14th. During our meeting time, please be prepared to discuss the details of your supervisory choice with me. We will also be discussion your End of Year information from last year as well as your SLO focus for this year. For those of you in Clinical Supervision, I will be starting to schedule times for your observation after Oct. 14th. I will contact you via email to set this up. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Please make sure to record your Administratively-Directed Hours and Classroom Preparation Hours on My Learning Plan for approval.


GR. 3-6 4SIGHT ASSESSMENT REMINDERS-

  • The Gr. 3-6 Reading Baseline 4Sight should be scored and returned by September 16th.
  • The Gr. 3-6 Math Baseline 4Sight should be scored and returned by September 21th.


UNITY WALK -This year is the thirteenth anniversary of the Unity Walk. It will be held on Saturday, October 8 at 2:00 PM. The walk begins at the Boyertown Community Park. Parking will be available across the street at Junior High West (donations accepted). The walk is part of the Boyertown Fall Festival. The festival has activities running from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. You can organize a walking team to win money for your favorite charity. Each walking team with 5 people or more will be put into a drawing. Eight teams will be drawn with the charity receiving a contribution of $100. This is a great opportunity to show the strength of community in Boyertown. Please join the walk to demonstrate our appreciation for diversity and our desire for acceptance for all.
