5th and 6th Grade News
November 30, 2015
Hello Fifth and Sixth Grade Families!
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! It was great to get a chance to speak with so many parents and families of our fabulous fifth and sixth graders during conferences. Thank you for taking the time to come in and discuss your student's progress!
Today, we began talking about Advent - a time of anticipation and preparation for the coming of our Lord at Christmas. It is a season in which we focus on how we can get ourselves ready for Jesus’ return as we celebrate Jesus’ coming into the world. We hear the words of the prophets and John the Baptist and come to a greater appreciation for who Jesus is and how he comes into our lives daily.
At the same time, December seems to be the busiest time of year. We are frantically shopping for Christmas gifts and running from here to there. Let's try to remember the reason for the season. With the celebration of Advent each year, everything old can be new again. Each year gives ourselves and our family an opportunity to remember and anticipate the celebration of the birth of Jesus on Christmas morning.

You can apply at: http://www.fulcrumfoundation.org/apply-for-grant/assistance/. This application is available in both Spanish and English.
