Test Requirements:

The SAT or ACT is required to be considered for enrollment. SAT Scores average about: Reading: 540-640, Math: 570-680, Writing: 520-630

ACT Scores on average range around: 26-31

Academic Requirements:

4 years of English

3 years of math

2-3 years of science

3 years of Social Studies

2 years recommended foreign language


Application is available through RIT or Common App. There are 2 early decision plans. The sooner of the 2 deadlines is December 1st, while the second is yet to be determined.


In-state and out-of-state tuition is $37,124

Financial Aid

AP Policy

Depending on the course you are submitting for credit, RIT will accept a 3 or 4 or higher on the AP Exam.


Some of the more popular majors include engineering, computer and information sciences, visual and performing arts, buisness and marketing, engineering technology, liberal arts, biology, and science technologies.


RIT consists of around 13,000 undergraduates. The average class size is around 12-15 people.
