ABE News
We have a new addition to our ABE family! Joy and Milton Rosenberg had a health baby boy, David Alan Rosenberg, on August 30! We can't to him!
ABE or the Adult Basic Education program is for students who need to improve their reading, writing and basic math skills. This year we will focus most on language arts reading and writing on M-Th for two hours per day implementing Evidenced-Based-Reading Instruction (EBRI). Students who need math will work on those skills on Tuesdays and Thursdays for one hour each day. With these changes, we anticipate that students will be ready to go to the high school diploma program faster.
ESL News
Welcome new and returning ESL students. Our goal is to assist our students to communicate in English for work, home, in the classroom & around our great city. This year we will be giving an extra focus on reading. Reading helps improve listening, speaking and writing. We will be using stories on marshalladulteducation.com to improve alphabetics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. Check it out!
With the assistance of new computer programs, our students will be able to explore career possibilities, as well as many other necessary skills needed for living in the USA, like banking, shopping, healthcare, finding a place to live, DMV, citizenship and more.
We have free ESL classes levels 1-4 in the mornings, afternoons and evenings.
We also have free distance learning materials to help classroom students with extra practice, or provide an ESL education for those who cannot attend classes. Tell your friends!
We look forward to a productive school year assisting students to reach their goals and make their dreams a reality.

Our hours are - morning: 9 am to 1:30 pm, afternoon: 3:15 to 5:15 pm, and evening: 5:30 to 8:30 pm. We hope to see you soon. Feel free to stop by room 4 if you have any question.
Counselor's Corner
The counselor and the student support services team are here to help you be a successful adult learner who can overcome personal, academic, and personal obstacles. During individual and classroom presentations, you will be provided information and tools to help you transition from CCAS to the career or college of your choice. For the 2018-2019 school year, all students will have and use MyPlan MyFuture to set goals and plan for careers and college. College reps will visit our campus. Workshops on creating a resume and exploring various jobs/careers will be held on our campus. Professionals working as nurses, pre-school teachers, and computer technicians will talk about how they did it and how you can too!
Your participation at CCAS is needed by attending monthly student council meetings. Tell us how we're doing and let your voice be heard!
Keep your eyes and ears open for announcements and flyers posted around the campus... and welcome to CCAS!
