Mission & Vision Statements:

The mission of Northeast Elementary School is to inspire, educate, and empower students to be successful socially, academically, and physically in order to prepare them to meet the challenges of the future.

Our vision is to ensure that students SOAR to the highest level of success because "college and career readiness" begins with a strong academic foundation.

Lyle's Loving Logic

"You're going to make a difference. A lot of times it won't be huge, it won't be visible even. But it will matter just the same. Don't do it for praise or money, that's what I want to tell you. Do it because it needs to be done. Do it to make your world better."

-Commissioner James Gordon, Gotham

Top 5!

Northeast Elementary was recognized by the State Department of Education as a top 5 reward school. To receive this recognition, Northeast achieved status in the state’s top five percent for annual academic growth! Way to go, Eagles!!! Keep up the hard work.

"Shout out to Lisa for constantly trying to get us involved in healthy activities, and to Angel for initiating and setting up a work out opportunity at the school."

-Shelly Jamison

"I would like to thank Miss. Hampton for always putting my kiddos on the bus when I am at parent pick up!!"

- Jennifer Davis

"A BIG thank you to every one who has been helping a parent pick-up when we are short handed. Your help is appreciated!"

-Kim Flint

"Shout out to Sylvia Johnson for being the only 5th grade teacher at school on Thursday (1/14) and not once complaining about it. She was extremely positive in her reflection of the day when her team returned Friday."

Shoutout to our Kindergarten teachers from Mrs. Bagwell! She was very complimentary of our K teachers, and was impressed with student behavior and engagement!

Please show recognition to our hard-working faculty & staff members! Send shout-outs to Lauren Finley, Kim Flint, or Helena Jones. :-)

TO DO...

1. TN Ready & Technology- Practice assessments for TNReady part 1 will begin at the end of January. The TNReady assessment for grades 3-5 will take place throughout the month of February and first week of March. Please do not rely on using any technology resources during this time, as these assessments are our priority. Thank you for your flexibility.

2. iPads - Beginning this week, the iPads that are available for individual checkout will be stored in the computer lab (on the counter). This will make it easier to locate the devices when they are needed for progress monitoring. Thank you to Mrs. Rolan for donating a rack for organizing the iPads. :-)

3. Title I Orders - Please turn in the Title I order for your grade level as soon as possible. Please remember that all items ordered must be directly related to math or reading/language. Orders are due no later than the 28th of January.

4. Tech Integration- All K-2 teachers must schedule a time for an integrated technology lesson with Ms. Bagwell (until Jan. 22nd).

Quizizz ( – I’ve used and loved Kahoot! for a while (and still do), but I like Quizizz’s take on multiplayer gamified assessment. You can create multiple-choice questions (or choose a set of questions from Quizizz) and give students the game code so they can join. Students work at their own pace through questions and watch themselves move up and down the leaderboard as they answer questions. You can also use Quizziz for homework assignments or as an interactive study guide! Your students will love it and you will, too!
