Google 101

All Things Google: Basic Overview and Application

Inspired by feedback from our member schools, the Southern Indiana Education Center is offering summer opportunities for Google professional learning. The over-arching theme to all of the days will be supporting YOU, the educator, in Google integration. Participants can expect to:

  1. Explore tools available in G Suite and how to choose the correct tool based on your learning objective
  2. Learn the many facets of Google Drive including how to create or upload documents, tips for organizing, and how to use as a lesson repository
  3. Explore how to collaborate using G Suite tools
  4. Explore using YouTube to curate educational videos by creating playlists and subscribe to others
  5. Learn how to use Chrome and explore different apps and extensions
  6. Explore Google Classroom including setting up a class and using various Google tools to guide lessons
  7. Ask questions as needed throughout the day!
The Southern Indiana Education Center is happy to bring this session twice (June 27 and July 17) to educators around our region. We will also be including a Google 201 session for those ready to learn more intermediate to advanced uses (July 18). Please join DeAnne Taggart, the SIEC Director of Professional Learning, for a fun and informative day of "getting our Google on."
