Lifespan: The average in the wild is 3 years. In captivity they can live up to 5 years.
Size: 7 oz to 14 lbs (198 g to 6 kg). Head and body, 8 to 19 in (20 to 48 cm); tail, 5 to 15 in (13 to 38 cm).
The body: The striped skunk is black with a white stripe from his tail to his nose. Their defense mechanisms are using their musk, claws, teeth, and they sometimes use their tails as a whip.
The striped skunks diet is fruit, plants, eggs, insects, and fish.They are about the size of a house cat.
