Did you know?

At the end of the school day on Friday, March 1, we marked the completion of our first full week of full days at both campuses since the week of December 10 in 2018? That's 10 weeks of interrupted schedules (oh, and a little Christmas vacation). Here's to hoping that last week starts a new streak of complete weeks. Oh wait, early release next Friday, the 15th (then a full week and then Spring Break)!

You can call Aquin High School to sign up at 815-235-3154 x 230. Walk-ins are welcome. First-time donors need to bring a photo ID with their date of birth. Plastic Bag Collection

Aquin's 7th grade Discovery Class is collecting plastic grocery bags that will be donated to be made into plastic mats for the homeless. Please bring your Walmart, Shopko, Target, and grocery bags to either campus for this worthy project. If you have questions about this project, please contact connie.gogel@aquinschools.org.

Bulldog Potters

On Friday, February 22, Senior High Art students had the opportunity to attend a workshop at the new local pottery studio of Stacey MacDonald. Students were able to throw pots on the wheel among other activities. Stacey took photos of many of the students' work as they were not able to bring their pieces home with them. Aquin presents 'Emma, A Pop Musical'

Emma, a senior at Highbury Prep, is certain she knows what's best for her classmates' love lives, and is determined to find the perfect boyfriend for shy sophomore Harriet by the end of the school year. But will Emma's relentless matchmaking get in the way of finding her own happiness? Based on Jane Austen's classic novel, this sparkling new musical features the hit songs of legendary girl groups and iconic female singers from The Supremes to Katy Perry. Girl power has never sounded so good!

Showtimes are 7:00pm on Friday, March 15 and Saturday, March 16 and 2:00 on Sunday, March 17. Tickets are available at the Aquin High School office at 1419 South Galena during school hours. Ticket prices are $7 Adults, $5 Students and Seniors. Tickets can also be purchased at the door before the performance. If you have any questions, please call Peg at 815.235.3154 x 224.
