School starts for all PreK-12 students on Monday, Aug. 23. To help families get prepared for the upcoming school year, we've compiled a back-to-school checklist in one spot. More detailed information will come from your schools. We are excited to start the new school year!
2021-2022 School Supply List
Missouri's Sales Tax Holiday is August 6-8, 2021. Certain back-to-school purchases, such as clothing, school supplies, and computers, may be exempt from sales tax during the holiday. For more information, visit the Missouri Department of Revenue website. Get a head start on your back-to-school shopping! Back-to-School Parade & Fair | Saturday, August 21
The parade will begin at 9 a.m. at the Mark Twain Restoration and Wellness Center at 1555 Derhake Rd., travel west to Waterford, and conclude at McCluer North High School.
The fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the grounds of the old Administration Center, 1005 Waterford Dr., 63033.
Bring the entire family out for giveaways, food, fun, games, and more. Watch the parade, then come to the fair!

Each family in Ferguson-Florissant must complete online registration for the upcoming school year. Please login into the parent portal to update your information for the 2021-2022 school year.
The process is simple.
2. Click on the yellow line that states: “Online registration must be completed for the 2021-2022 school year.”
Your user name is your email address. If you forgot your password, click on the “Forgot Password,” and you will be able to reset it from there.
Free COVID-19 testing available
Ferguson-Florissant School District has partnered with Washington University to offer FREE COVID-19 testing for the Ferguson-Florissant community. Tests are saliva-based and do not require nasal swabbing. Saliva tests can only detect the COVID-19 virus. Testing will be conducted for anyone in the community experiencing symptoms.
Drive-thru tests are available:
Wednesdays - 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.

OR visit another testing site that is more convenient for your schedule. Testing locations and times are listed in the flyer below.
Results are typically available in 24-48 hours. All results will be sent by email and/or text message.

Johnson-Wabash teacher earns Regional Teacher of the Year award
Johnson-Wabash 6th Grade Center musical theatre teacher and Ferguson-Florissant School District's 2021 Teacher of the Year James Young has been named Missouri Regional Teacher of the Year. Young is one of 10 selected from the St. Louis region and 34 statewide to advance in the state Teacher of the Year process through the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). This honor qualifies Young for the 2021 Missouri State Teacher of the Year award. The regional Teacher of the Year program is designed to focus public attention on excellence in teaching and to honor classroom teachers in all regions of Missouri.
