BCPSOne Gradebook Updates

Archive classes you do not need in your gradebook -

1. When you view your list of classes, there is a "gear" icon (looks like a wheel) on the right side of the screen (next to each class).

2. The teacher should click on the gear, and the "archive class" option will be available to select.

**This will remove the class from your gradebook. It will also be removed form student and parent view as well.

How to add Comment:

1. Type in a student score.

2. Hit the space bar one time.

3. Type your comment.

4. It will disappear from view but is visible to students and parents . You can view or modify the comment by clicking on the student name .

As always, please send me an email if you have an specific questions.

FYI: Using Google Chrome instead of Internet Explorer to access the BCPSOne and the gradebook seems to work on the desktops. Thanks Sarah for sharing this!

Professional Development Oppportunities

Digital Learning University

Be on the lookout for information about the new Digital Learning University courses and workshop modules, coming next week after the October 3 weekly bulletin.

FYI: I will be teaching Introduction to Social Media at Stoneleigh December 3 from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Online Ed Camp

I just took part in my first Ed Camp last weekend. An Ed Camp is an un-conference where YOU get to decide what the topics are. Some of the topics relate to technology, but they can be about anything in education. There is an online ED Camp coming up October 25th from 12:30 p.m.- 2:30 p.m. Get more information here: http://edcamponline.ticketleap.com/edcamp-online-2014/details

Technology News

We are working on a plan to get all of the laptops in the cart and student laptops in your classrooms reconnected to the wireless. Please bare with us as we works towards correcting this issue.

Please make sure you are turning off your projectors when you are not using them! Bulbs are expensive and have a certain number of hours to live. Just by leaving the projector on during planning time, you are killing 5 hours of the bulbs life.

Remember to restart those computers daily! Please make sure you turn on and log into your HP Revolve at least once a week to receive updates.
