Fall is Here

"Autumn...the year's last, loveliest smile."

- William Cullen Bryant

With a bit more of a chill in the air, we are reminded that it is time to bundle up and prepare for the winter ahead. Despite the cooler temperatures and the idea in the above quote that winter is a joyless season that lurks ahead of all of us, I would disagree. School is a place where smiles should be prevalent year round on the faces of our students K-12 regardless of the season. That certainly was the case this past week as our elementary students had a full week that included a visit from a Yellowstone Park Ranger (see pictures below) and a Friday full of hands-on science activities (more on that next week)...Be assured that regardless of the potential dreariness that accompanies the challenging months ahead, Rock River School will strive to create an educational environment where smiles abound among students, faculty, and staff while at the same time ensuring that we maintain an environment of high expectations and learning! We hope that these factors are far more contagious than the usual maladies that affect us all over the course of a long winter!
