Supporting the Social Emotional Health of English Language Learners March 16-17, 2017
For many of our SIFE and/or Refugee students, regular one-on-one counseling does not suffice in meeting their social-emotional needs to fully integrate into our American schools. At this session, Dr. Jan Stewart offers ways that teachers can create meaningful social/emotional support in classrooms, especially for those who have experienced trauma and loss, who are English language learners, SIFE and/or Refugees. Books will be provided for those who attend. Dinner is provided on March 16, 2017 with Continental Breakfast & Lunch provided on March 17,2017. Attendance at both sessions is required. PLEASE REGISTER NO LATER THAN MARCH 1st.
