In Hiroshima the USA dropped an atomic bomb on August 6 in 1945.
It is estimated that over 200,000 deaths were caused by the atomic bomb.
How did it affect the environment?
The bomb in Hiroshima was an a burst bomb, meaning it didn't actually hit the land before it detonated, which has a significant effect on the environment.
How it affected the people in Hiroshima?
It affected the people by making people sick and some developed leukaemia and some people died.
Who caused the attack and why did they attack?
The Americans dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima because Japan and the US were fighting with each other in a war.
