When Ella was a young girl, she was in a very happy and wealthy family. Her mother and father loved her very much.
Sadly, when she was only ten years old, her mother had passed away. Ella's mother was an accountant and her job brought in most of the money for the family, so when she passed away, her father had to find a way to make more money.
For almost five years, her father searched for a job, but couldn't find one that suited him. Eventually, he came to a decision. Ella would have to get a job to help out.
Ella also went through many interviews, but since she had school, and she was only 15, she had limited options. Luckily, she found a job she could handle. She would become a waitress!
As Ella was taking more and more shifts, her dad began to start dating again. She was a little upset, but she knew her dad would be happier with a woman by his side and it would be good to have a mother figure in her life.
One year later, Ella's dad fell in love again. He was the happiest he had been since Ella's mother had died. She gave her father some of her money and combined it with his so he could buy a ring. Ella couldn't wait to meet her new mother!
Ella's stepmother's name was Nina. She was a beautiful woman with two kids of her own, Lily and Grace.
Unlike their mother, they were the sweetest girls ever. The girls were thirteen years old.
Every time Ella's father would go on business trips, her step-mother would make her sleep in the attic and do many chores. Also, even though she was now very wealthy, Ella's step-mom would make her work every free moment saying it was "good for her" or "teaches good business skills." Her step-sisters were opposed to it, but their mother wouldn't listen.
On one of his journeys, Ella's dad got into a car accident. He was severely injured and Ella and her family would visit him everyday. Ten days later, he passed away.
Over the next five years, Nina began to focus more and more on her now 18 year old daughters, and not 21 year old Ella. To celebrate the girls turning 18, their mother threw them a big party. She didn't want to invite Ella, but Lily and Grace refused to have the party without her. Finally Nina gave in, but Ella had to be home by midnight or she would get punished. They knew their step sis hadn't been dating for a while, so they invited older men for her along with some of her friends.
Ella saved over 3 months pay to buy a dress, and she came to the party looking like a princess. Her step sister gave her the is-that-really-you? look and she laughed. She barely recognized herself.
Her dress was as gorgeous as diamonds with a blue buttoned back, a glittering silver purse, and her mother's antique pearl necklace. She didn't need a fairy godmother, she was a hard working girl.
A little later in the night, she caught someone's eye. He was tall, mysterious, and handsome. They say that there is no such thing as love at first sight, but that's exactly what Ella felt.
Tap, tap, tap. Tap, tap, tap. They danced the night away. They were dancing on a cloud.
Just as Ella and this man that Lily and Grace invited, Phillip, were exchanging phone numbers, she looked at the time. Her furious step-mother was coming towards her. As she was running away, her man shouted, "Wait, I need you number." But it was too late.
Luckily, Ella's step-sisters were there for her again and they gave him her number.
The two lovebirds texted day after day...
After a few months of dating, Phillip finally proposed to Ella.
And of course like all fairy tales, they lived Happily Ever After...
