Parent and Student Information

Greetings Buena Families!

We've had an exciting fall at Buena High School! One of our most exciting events was our Varsity Football WIN over Ventura! What an exciting game!

Join us this Friday for our final home football game of the season! Our Varsity team has been amazing and our Marching Band is outstanding! I love watching them, teamwork in action is a beautiful thing!

Consider attending the Cash 4 College event at Ventura College this Saturday 10/22 where students and families to get one-on-one help with completing their FAFSA or Dream Act.

Here’s a link with more info for the workshop. https://www.vcccd.edu/students/financial-aid-information/cash-for-college-workshops

Students may wear costumes for Halloween, but our dress code still applies and students cannot wear costumes that cover the face. No costume weapons are allowed.

We have a new Interim Athletic Director! Derek Rusk is now our AD and Shaun Strople has returned to being a math teacher to spend more time with his family.

Please join us for PEER TUTORING AKA "THE A-TEAM" during BARK! Students can request a pass from their teacher to go to the library during BARK for peer tutoring!

We have 300 families that did not complete the "pink" LCFF form as part of their on-line registration. Families will be notified by email or phone call to complete the LCFF form.

We enjoy working with each one of our amazing, beautiful Buena students! Have a wonderful, restful and fabulous Fall Break!

Thank you,

Dr. Audrey Asplund

The band will be attending the Pierce College Field Tournament this weekend. They are excited to be performing 3 of 4 movements of the field show, “City of Lights”.

The band previously performed in front of a live audience at the Sounds of Conejo event at Thousand Oaks High School in exhibition performance (non-scored). This weekend presents the first opportunity for the marching band to be evaluated by a panel of educators this year!

Buena Athletics!
