Weekly Updates for Staff and Faculty
What a Week We Have Had!
Personally, I have loved getting to know our students and watching each of you interact with them in the hallways, classrooms, and cafeterias. I hope that you are practicing the 10 in 10 initiative and that in doing so that you are learning more about all of our students, not just the ones that you teach.
What You Do Matters!

General Reminders
- Please remember to be at your door greeting your students for each and every class. It sets a positive tone for the class.
- Using a common language with RISE is very important! The more the students realize that we are all on the same page, the more we will see the behaviors that we expect.
- Praise the good behavior!
- Be present when you are with students. Take time to talk with them and get to know them.
- HAVE FUN!
Morning Duty in the Gym
- Once students enter the gym, they should not be able to leave the gym.
Absences & Substitutes
- Put your absence into AESOP as soon as you know that you will be out...even if it is months in advance.
- Once the absence has been placed in AESOP, please notify Jeremy.
- The only thing that we should be getting the morning of or night before is if it is an emergency.
- If you put something in the morning of or the night before, please call Jeremy to be sure that he sees it.
Word on the Street
From a student: I haven't wanted to come to school in the past two years, but now I love it here. Everyone is so excited to be here. You can see it in the teachers!
From a coach: Coach Boughman called because he wanted us to know that with just seven days in, he could see a difference in our students, even on the football field. He said students are more excited about being in school, are showing more respect and are working harder.
From Liberty Elementary: Hearing good things from LMS!
From a Former Parent: I wish I had a student at LMS right now. So excited about all that I am hearing!
Folks - this is because of YOU! I am so proud of our team and can't wait to see what the year ahead will hold for us! I appreciate you and am thankful for you!
