A message from Dr. Church

Hello TF families…I was walking the campus this week and found the following chalked message on the blacktop. It made me smile, thinking that Elliana is really clear about what’s important…and I’m glad she likes the bus. We all hope those busses will be rolling sooner than later! Here at school, we continue to work hard to keep students engaged. I talk to teachers weekly about the ways they reinforce relationship building within the class. Sharing stories about their weekend, question of the day, sharing things important to them, and making connections to the stories they read together are great examples. A colleague at another elementary school did a bit of informal research and found that students who are demonstrating their learning most effectively are the ones who have their cameras on, are in view, and participating. This little habit is having a dramatic impact on their learning. I hope all our Ravens know that staying on camera can make a difference for them too. Hope this finds you well and trying to keep the important things in the forefront…like Elliana!
