Join us for the CANNED FOOD DRIVE!
Principal's Corner
WOW! You all have BLOWN us away with your response to the canned food drive! All of the cans continue to stock up in the hallways at the main entrance! Monday is the last day to bring your cans! Let's make a strong last push!
This is our final week before Thanksgiving break!
We have started our attendance contests! Students have the opportunity to win all kinds of PRIZES just by being here at school! Of course, we don't want them to come to school sick, but please make sure, if at all possible, they are here! Attendance is a key piece to your child's education! Please make sure that they are in attendance unless they are home sick! WE WANT THEM HERE LEARNING WITH US!
Attendance Reminders
Reminder that once a student reaches 10 unexcused absences, the will be referred for truancy court.
In addition, state law required students to meet 90% attendance for the school year or will risk being retained for the school year- this applies to excused and unexcused absences.
PARENT RESOURCE FOR EMERGENT BILINGUALS
TEA has updated their “Parents and Families” portal. Here families can find relevant
information and resources to support the educational needs of their Emergent Bilingual
students. Resources include important tips, instructional resources, and videos in
multiple languages. In addition, they publish a quarterly newsletter, available in English
and Spanish.
Please share the following with your Emergent Bilingual families in your next
