The Splash
February 7, 2022
Dear Dryden Families,
We hope you were able to enjoy the sunshine this weekend! While mask-wearing is still strongly recommended at school, the Dryden Staff is doing our best to prepare for maintaining a positive, caring and nurturing environment for our students and colleagues now that mask-wearing is optional in District 25. Empathy and respect for individual choices remain a priority. Since staff are not expected to monitor and uphold every individual family's choice, we encourage parents to be clear with your children about your expectations for them while emphasizing kindness and acceptance of the choices of their peers' (which might be different from your own family's choices). We want each of our students to feel safe to abide by the choice of their family. Additionally, while student seating assignments will not be changed based on being masked / unmasked, we will continue to do as much as we can to help children feel safe and comfortable at school. Please feel free to contact us directly if we can be of assistance. We appreciate your partnership and support!
Sincerely,
Akemi Sessler & Cara Giacomin-Ferris
