1984 Quote Reflection
My quote reflection...
"What can you do, thought Winston, against the lunatic who is more intelligent than yourself, who gives your argument a fair hearing and then simply persists in his lunacy?"
The lunatic Winston is referring to is a broad idea of a person who is knowingly smarter than you, maybe older or even wiser. This person has a completely different opinion than that of yours and disagrees with what you have to say but chooses to hear your say it anyways. Then after you are finished explaining what you have to say, knowing it could be the correct thing, this smarter, wiser being insists you are incorrect and continues to believe they are right and/or more morally correct in the matter.
