Pick Family Newsletter II

Greetings Pick Families!

I hope you enjoyed the fall Counselor's Corner newsletter. My plan is to continue to provide quarterly interactive resources for you to support your child's academic and social/emotional needs from home. If there's ever a topic you would like to know more about, please let me know and I will try to include it in the next edition.

In the last quarter your children have completed counseling lessons related to orientation of the counseling program, introduction of the 7 Habits of Happy Kids, and lessons on taking responsibility and managing emotions with coping strategies. I hope they have enjoyed them!

This next 9 weeks we will be studying personal safety and abuse prevention associated with Erin's Law ( For more information on the Safer Smarter Kids curriculum feel free to check out the parent resource page at There are great ideas about how to follow up with safety related discussions at home. We will also learn about bullying, cyber safety, goal setting and time management as the quarter continues.

As always, do not hesitate to reach out to me via email or phone if there is anything I can do to individually support your child. I look forward to working together this year to ensure the success of your Pick Leader!
