Surprised and Honored!
A Special Message from our Gifted & Talented Teacher, Toni Mucker
I hope you’re all doing well! I have a couple of items to share with you. This coming week will be our last week of GT classes for this school year. During the last few weeks of school, I will be testing prospective GT students. If your child is already in GT, he/she will not need to re-test. Once you’re in, you’re in. J
This year will be particularly difficult for me during our last day of classes…as I will not be your child’s GT Specialist next year. Oh, how I will miss all of my wonderful students! Our family is moving to Eugene, Oregon, the week after school gets out. We’re very excited about the move as we’ve always loved the Pacific Northwestern region of the country. However, I am reluctant to say goodbye to your children and the best job I’ve ever had. Being a GT Specialist in Keller ISD for the past 12 years has been the highlight of my career in education.
Thank you for sharing your children with me. I love them all!
KISD Teacher of the Year
We know that she is THE best! Be thinking of her Saturday night and check on our Facebook page and Twitter feed for the announcement.
KHES Casey’s Kids Coin Drive
Keller-Harvel is having a coin drive to raise money for Casey’s Kids. Each grade level will have a container in the front foyer where coins will be collected. The grade level with the highest total will win spirit sticks. The coin drive will end on May 15th.
Casey's Kids Program
We hope you will join us on May 16th for our 18th annual Casey's Kids 5K Fun Run/ Walk. The Fun Run welcomes participants of all ages and is the primary source of funds for the Casey's Kids Program. This program provides assistance to Keller ISD students in need. Currently over 25% of our students are economically disadvantaged. These funds help to provide for things like school supplies, clothing and even food.
