Baby Bonding is a Breeze!
How to connect with babies from every place in the family.
Effects Of Not Bonding
When babies are first born, they lack a certain amount of oxytocin, also known as the 'love' hormone. Oxytocin is needed within babies to continue developing their brain. It is stimulated by skin-to-skin contact, but mothers also transfer it through breastfeeding. If oxytocin is not provided, the stress can cause an over development in cortisol, a stress hormone. This hormone is known to cause elevated responses in blood pressure in heart rate, leading to possible heart attacks later in life.
Not bonding with a child can also lead to depression, because the child never felt emotionally fulfilled, leading to withdrawal from society, lack in social development, and possibly suicide.
