Daytime Discussion Group - Tuesdays at 2:00 pm
We have renamed our group because it's more "here's a topic: discuss amongst ourselves" than what most people consider to be a study group.
In other words, no homework, no assignments. The only "studying" is done on a strictly voluntary basis when one or more members want to discuss a topic that benefits from some background information. While we try to announce a topic in a week or so in advance, our format allows us to change the topic when events demand. We stay on a topic as long as we are enjoying it, sometimes finishing with the announced topic in 30 minutes, sometimes discussing it for several weeks. It's amazing what a wealth of experience and insight our members bring to the various topics.
If you are interested please drop in and try it out (but it's best to check with the office or me a few hours ahead just in case of a weather or other cancellation). One of the nicest things about our group is how we like to listen to each other's viewpoints, so additional viewpoints are welcomed.
