10 billion people

What would the world be like?

What would it look like...

I believe that the world wouldn't be as different as we think from today. The difference between how we are living now and how we would be living if we reached 10 billion people is how we take care of our earth. There are two total opposite ways as to what would happen is the earth reached 10 billion people.

We could be selfish people and use all of our earths resources until we have nothing left. The earth would just be a dried up piece of dirt. Everyone would eventually end up starving or malnourished from not getting the needed nutrients and from not being able to produce food that keeps you healthy and living correctly. The water sources would be contaminated, salt or there would be no fresh water left, causing the majority of the population to become ill.

On the other hand we could start taking care of our planet and use our resources wisely. Finding new ways to recycle in our environment is not impossible, it's a goal that is obtainable. This can only happen if the majority off the world is able and willing to take care of the earth. Including planting a tree for every tree that is chopped down, Using less electricity, biking somewhere instead of polluting with cars. All of these simple things that we have been told to do throughout our life, but most choose to ignore them because it's not the easiest way.

Resources...

When Our planet reaches 10 billion people our resources will start to disappear. There will be many people to feed and not enough food to feed them. Deforestation will be at an all time high. The trees will be cleared to make more room for more cities and homes for all of the people. The atmosphere will be affected greatly by all of the smog generated by the factories, cars, trucks, and buses throughout the area. If smog is in the atmosphere farmers will have a huge problem. The plants or product will be contaminated as well as not being able to produce correctly due to the insufficiencies in the air quality.

Climate...

I think that the climate wills change and gradually get hotter as the more people enter our atmosphere. The pollution alone will increase the temperature around the world to make enough manufactured products for the amount of people on the earth. Not to mention the amount of pollution from transportation.

Biomes...

The biomes will be affected because if the plants in the area are not getting the nutrients they need to live than the biomes will slowly start to die. Considering there producers which are the primary energy source in the biome is dieing. As the producers start to disappear then the herbivores of the biome start to disappear because they have no food to eat. As the herbivores in the biome start to disappear then the carnivores will start to starve because they don't have anything to eat. Not including what the smog ,pollution and dehydration could do to the animals in this situation.

Dehydration will be another big problem, for having so many human on one earth there will be barely any freshwater left to take care of out plants and animals in any biome.
