Example 1: experimental feedlot
Due to technological advances in America chickens are now Redesigned to be bigger from being fed by food tubes that contains insane growth hormones. A farmer stated “ if you could grow a chicken in 49 Days , why would you want one you could grow in three months?”
This new design of chicken brought companies a lot of extra revenue. When chickens grow from a chick ; their bones and organs cannot keep up with the rapid growth and can barely take a few steps.
In addition, there are antibiotics in feed that chickens consume which causes harmful bacteria build up.
Example 2: Corn Exploit
The world produces are large amount of corn and 30% of our land base is being planted for corn. The government policy allows farmers to produce corn under the below the cost of production. This was cause by multi international interests. Corn can be engineered in so many ways to create food from syrup, peanut butter ,twinkies, orange juice, and salad dressings. Nevertheless, now that there is so much corn ; Farmers decided to start feeding cows corn instead of grass. Cows are not designed by evolution to eat corn they’re designed by evolution to grass . The only reason farmers are feeding cows corn is because it gets them bigger in mass at a faster rate than grass.
Corn causes a tragic malfunction with digestion within the first compartment of the stomach and its showed to sit inside the cows stomach. More importantly, there is research that indicates this immense corn diet cause e. Coli that are acid-resistant
Example 3: employee in chaos
One of the largest Slaughter houses called Smithfield tend to exploit workers with low standards and income. Smithfield would get workers from 100 miles in diameter and bus them to their location. Smithfield is deliberately choosing employees who can barely afford to work with them and Smithfield is aware of this . Nevertheless, employees that are working with the slaughtered meat tend to get infections between their finger nails that cause it to spilt apart form each other. Workers are covered in blood, feces, and urine. 32,000 hogs are slaughtered per day at this processing plant. More importantly, employees are being treated like a human machine. In Addition, Smithfield was recruiting illegal immigrants into the meat packing industry and authorities weren’t searching for the people who hired them in the first place. While this anti - immigrant movement , Smithfield was making billions of dollars and was acquitted.
