MOTION: APPROVED
Approve 2022 - 2026 ATA Agreement
That the Board of Education approve the 2022-2026 Professional Agreement between the Arlington Heights School District 25 Board of Education and the Arlington Teachers’ Association.
Assistant Superintendent of Personnel & Planning, Dr. Brian Kaye, presented the newly bargained Professional Agreement between the Arlington Heights School District 25 Board of Education and the Arlington Teachers Association.
According to Dr. Kaye, the bargaining process was collaborative and productive.
Highlights of the proposed agreement include:
- It is a 4-year agreement for 2022-2026
- Overall costs fall within the Consumer Price Index
- It supports maintaining a highly qualified staff
- District 25 will be able to be a competitive employer
- It consolidates 2 salary schedules to 1 compensation structure
- It reduces the number of lanes and steps
- It encourages and supports continued education for employees
- It offers an attractive salary for new teachers

Personnel Plan
That the Board of Education approve the Personnel Plan for 2022-2023 as submitted.
Assistant Superintendent of Personnel & Planning, Dr. Brian Kaye, presented the Board of Education with the staffing plan for the 2022-2023 school year. The staffing projections in this plan are based on student enrollment projections, program needs, mandated state programming, student identified needs, and the goals of the District.
The District will continue to budget a contingency amount to accommodate staffing needs that may arise due to unexpected enrollment changes or new students with special needs entering the school district.
Highlights of the proposed plan:
- Elimination of the COVID-19 Contact Tracers (no longer needed).
- Decrease in lunch stipends (social distancing is no longer required during lunch).
- Inclusion of the Special Olympics stipend (new program this school year).
- Addition of 2 cross country stipends due to the number of students participating to help with safety.
- Additional Special Education Teaching Assistants due to enrollment and needs.
- Addition of Director of Equity position to serve on the Cabinet. This position will help support carrying out the parts of the District's Strategic Plan that focus on equity.

Administrative Compensation, 2022-2023
That the Board of Education approve the contracts and 2022-2023 compensation for all administrators including principals, assistant principals, assistant superintendents, directors, and coordinators as submitted.
Assistant Superintendent of Personnel & Planning, Dr. Brian Kaye, presented the Board of Education with the Administrative Compensation plan for the 2022-2023 school year. Each year Arlington Heights School District 25 reviews the administrative contracts of surrounding school districts. In doing so, District 25 looks to share compensation recommendations to the Board of Education that allows our school district to remain competitive, yet fiscally responsible.

Non-Certified Employee Compensation, 2022-2023
That the Board of Education approve the 2022-2023 compensation for the non-certified employee groups as submitted.
Assistant Superintendent of Personnel & Planning, Dr. Brian Kaye, presented the Board of Education with the non-certified employee compensation plan for the 2022-2023 school year. Non-certified employees include Educational Support Personnel (E.S.P.), Building Support Technicians (B.S.T.), Teaching, Clerical Assistant, and Registered Nurse (T.C.A.R.N), Food Service, and individuals classified as ‘other’ at Dunton Administrative Building.

That the Board of Education approve those items on the Consent Agenda as follows: (A) Personnel Report and Addendum to Personnel Report; (B) Invoices; (C) Regular and Closed Session Meeting minutes of May 5, 2022; (D) Special Joint Meeting Minutes with the Arlington Heights Memorial Library of May 21, 2022; (E) Regular and Closed Session Meeting minutes of May 23, 2022; (F) Accept Donations to District 25 for 2021-2022.
Within the adoption of the Consent Agenda was the approval of two Administrator level hires:
- Diane Kaffka | Assistant Superintendent of Student Services
- Shab Poloz | Director of Equity
