A Message from our Principal, Mr. Pflugrath...
Dear Osbourn Family,
This is our final week of school for the 2021-22 school year. It has been a year like no other that we will remember forever. I am proud of how our students and staff have excelled and have grown closer together as an Osbourn family during this time. It is a true honor and privilege to serve you.
Last week we celebrated our Governor’s School Graduation, College Signing Ceremony, Athletic Scholarship and Awards Night, Senior Trip to Crockett Park, and our Soccer, Baseball, and Track teams in postseason play.
We have a busy but fun week ahead! On Monday, we have our Senior Cookout and tablet collection. Tuesday, we have our graduation rehearsal and Senior Walk. On Wednesday, please join us in the bus loop from 6 pm to 7 pm as we honor our Seniors in our drive through graduation event. Friendly reminder that Thursday and Friday are both early release days this week. Thursday, we have our Graduation at Eagle Bank Arena at 7 pm. We are happy to share that there are no restrictions on the number of guests and no tickets required. Doors will be open at 6 pm for seating. Friday is the last day of school for all of our students.
Seniors you must turn in your tablet to participate in graduation rehearsal and in the graduation ceremony. Seniors and any students not returning to Osbourn this fall need to return your computer tablet.
Summer School registration is now open, please see the newsletter for the details or call our Counseling Services office. A reminder to all families of rising 12th graders. Per Virginia State Code, all students entering 12th grade this fall will be required to provide proof of a meningitis vaccination prior to the start of the 2022-23 school year. Detailed information is posted on the OHS & MCPS websites. Please submit vaccination records to the OHS school clinic or main office. Contact our nurses in the OHS clinic with any questions through the end of May at 571-377-7012.
Thank you, families, for all you have done this year working together as One Osbourn family to make this year such a success.
