From the Principals...
Did you know that we hosted Fun Fridays? Music is played throughout the day during arrival, passing periods, lunch, and dismissal. It is so much fun to see students and staff sing along and show us their dance moves!!
Students...here is your opportunity to send us song requests! Fill out this Google form with school appropriate songs to play throughout the day on Fridays.

Congratulations to our Positive Principal Referrals this month...
Survey & Community Engagement Sessions
Unit 5 is working to engage students, staff, families and community members as we begin the strategic planning process this fall. Strategic planning is an opportunity to define our vision for Unit 5, examine our current realities, and identify priorities and develop a plan to achieve them. Over the next several months, there will be opportunities for feedback and engagement from all stakeholders.
Our first step is to survey secondary students, staff members, families, and community members.
Please take a few minutes and take this Family/Community Survey to share your input for this important process. We ask you to complete this survey by September 29, 2023.
The results of this survey will be used to help set the vision and focus for the district.
Unit 5 is also hosting community engagement sessions to gather feedback.
The next community engagement session is:
Oct. 2nd at Parkside Junior High School from 6-8 pm
Participants will hear a presentation and attend multiple focus groups to answer questions and offer feedback. The Oct 2 session will be a repeat of the Sept 26 session. Beginning Oct. 3, a recording of the presentation will be available for viewing online.
All members of the Unit 5 community - students, parents, staff members, and community representatives - are invited to participate. We hope you will work with us as we guide Unit 5 into the future and work to "educate each student to achieve personal excellence." We look forward to receiving your input and thank you for your participation.
All our families and students are invited to CJHS PBIS Family Night!!
Have you ordered your yearbook?

Indoor sports have started at Chiddix and we want to make sure we have a fun, respectful, and safe time together! Here are some expectations for our students and families.
1. Students may stay after school for any indoor game starting at 4:30 pm. Students that stay will need to head straight to the cafeteria at 3:45 pm and stay there until the supervisor releases them to the gym. Students walking the halls anytime before or during a game will be asked to call home for a ride as soon as possible.
2. Student behavior in the gym: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe
This includes cheering positively, staying in your seat, and hands to yourself
Any student not following our PBIS motto will be asked to leave.
3. Parents: Please pick up your child at the end of the game. A timeline to follow is to allow only 45 minutes per event. So if your child is attending both a 7th and 8th-grade contest, please be here within 1.5 hours after the start of the 7th-grade contest.
If a student is not picked up in a timely manner, they will require a parent to accompany them for any future events.
Pick-up will be at the front entrance of our building after games.
4. Parents of athletes/Fans: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe
Towards ALL athletes, officials, coaches, other parents, and supervisors.
If you are disrespectful at a sporting event, home or away, we have the right to ban you from all Chiddix athletic games.
Parents of Athletes: Please watch this 7-minute video before your first game:
