The Battle of Gettysburg

Brief Description
The battle of Gettysburg was a major turning point in Union favor during the civil war. After The battle of Chancellorsville the Confederates under commander Lee sought out to strengthen their positions. The first day of battle consisted of the Confederates attacking the union at Potomac. After that day the Union army received reinforcements and prepared to defend up against the pending attacks. The fighting started at 4 am the next day and the Union defended the Confederates off. On the third day the Confederates sent an offensive attack called Pickett's charge that ultimately failed and allowed the Union to win the battle.
