Arlington Heights HS
Arlington Heights takes the first win on the new Farrington Field against Joshua!

Paschal HS
On Thursday, August 25th the freshman A team played Irving high school. The freshmen were led by a heroic effort on both sides of the ball and were able to pull off a 26-18 win to start off the season. Players that found the endzone that evening included: Luke Jowers (#6) on a 20-yard receiving touchdown catch, Mike Guerrero (#9), John Williams (#1), and Jayshaun Thomas (#5) with 2-point conversions. The panthers will be playing Irving Nimitz this coming Thursday evening.

On Thursday, August 25th Paschal JV hosted Irving High school for the season home opener. The JV team held Irving to a shutout and was able to put 28 points on their opponent. The first touchdown was made by Jase Burton (#9) on the first offensive play. The second touchdown was also made by Jase Burton (#9) on a punt return. Asher Naegele (#11) scored on a 40-yard reception and the final touchdown was a rushing touchdown by running back, Issac Isgur (#7). The Panthers will play Irving Nimitz the following week.

The Paschal Panthers took on the Irving Tigers last Friday night in Irving. The Panthers were ready to kick off the season after their scrimmage a week ago. The defense came out flying around to start this one off. Tex Shope came downhill with the first big strike of the season and forced a fumble that was recovered by Alexus Hernandez. The Panthers would take that opportunity to be the first to get on the board with a 32-yard field goal from Diego Paiva. The next big play would come from the defense when Oliver Rodriguez would intercept the ball and take 45 yards for a touchdown. The offense would strike right before the half when Will Henry threw up a pass to Kendrick Hayes.
Another notable player from the game was Kyler Rose who got him a sack. Cayden Reynolds led the team in tackles with 6 tackles and 3 for a loss. Luke Tevis led the team in receiving yards with 5 catches for 62 yards. Maki Gee had big plays throughout this one and I look forward to seeing him come back out this week and continue running the ball hard.
Your Panther defense held the Tiger offense scoreless in this one and looks to continue with the hot start. The Panthers will take on Irving Nimitz this Friday at Clark Field. This is our First Responder Night and hope everyone makes it out there. We look forward to seeing you there
Go Panthers!

FWISD Shout Out
Arlington Heights HS: Coach William Rose
I was at the Heights vs. Benbrook volleyball game, because I was watching my daughter play. The stands were filled by the parents, but also by students. The students told me that the baseball team came out to support their girls. They were all there from the start of the JV game until the end of the Varsity game. One of my former students said that Coach Rose encouraged them to go to the game. They said they are going to do it for every sport. That is how it should be!
Extremely impressive, Coach Rose!
From a supportive parent :-)

Shout out to Coach Martino for taking time out to tutor one her student trainers.
Huge congratulations to our varsity volleyball team for defeating Benbrook in 4 and a big thanks to our student athletes for showing support!
