Rigorous Curriculum Design for Common Core Standards in Louisiana

Rigorous Curriculum Design is a model for designing or redesigning curriculum so that it truly represents a rigorous 21st-century set of comprehensive units of study that align with Common Core State Standards and Louisiana Education Initiatives including the Classroom Support Toolbox. This two-day seminar will provide an overview of the entire process so that educators and leaders can, over time, follow the plan to create rigorous curricular units of study.

During this interactive conference, participants will:

Review the Process of Rigorous Curriculum Design

Dig Deeper into Content Areas (English Language Arts or Math)

Adopt the The Non-Negotiable Foundational Steps for Effective Curriculum Design

Begin the Design Process with Common Formative Assessments

Create Engaging Learning Experiences to Ensure Rich and Relevant Learning

Conference Details

Wednesday, Nov. 6th 2013 at 8:30am to Thursday, Nov. 7th 2013 at 4pm

River Oaks Event Center, 520 East Kaliste Saloom Road, Lafayette, LA

Cost: $250 per person. This fee includes session materials including Larry Ainsworth's book, Rigorous Curriculum Design as well as breakfast and lunch on both days.
