NS Vision 2025 Update

  • The Alan Shepard project was presented and accepted by the school board Jan. 23.
  • Construction on the new softball complex will begin this spring. The city of Eldridge will close part of S 4th Ave (south of Iowa St) during construction.
  • The Regional Innovation Center project pre-bid conference is on March 2 with bids due on March 14. Recommendations to Stutting on March 17 and Board Meeting on March 20.
  • Design committee meetings for all Vision 2025 projects are meeting regularly.

Snow Day Update

It's too soon to know if we will need to make up the Feb. 16 snow day. If that remains the only snow day we have this school year, we will not have students make up the day.


If we happen to have more snow days, we might need to extend the school year.

Pre-Kindergarten Information

North Scott has a Pre-Kindergarten program designed for students who are age-eligible (5) and need more time for academic or social-emotional growth to be prepared for kindergarten. Again, students must be 5-years-old on or before September 15 to be eligible.


To learn more about our pre-kindergarten program, please attend the informational meeting or join via YouTube livestream.

United Way's Read United initiative helps local students improve their reading proficiency by pairing them with one-on-one reading volunteers for 30 minutes a week throughout the school year. Early results show 92% of students who participated in our Read United initiative showed improvement.
