Elementary Ed Workshops

3rd Grade Digital Resources

Attention 3rd Grade Teachers!! Want to create a classroom website? Want to learn Edmodo basics? Then this workshop is for you. Teachers will explore various website building tools and begin building their own classroom website. Additional digital resources will be shared to assist with the integration of technology into current curriculum and teaching practices.

Digital Storytelling for Elementary Teachers

Take this workshop to learn how to incorporate digital resources that will enhance student learning and creativity while meeting current curriculum initiatives and literacy standards. Digital storytelling is a unique process that allows students to create and share stories through digital media. This workshop will also explore additional strategies and resources that allow for written narration to be combined with images, sound, and video to create a short movie of a created story.

Secondary Ed Workshops

Introduction to Google Classroom for Middle School or High School Teachers

Google Classroom is a free web-based platform that integrates your Google Apps for Education account with all your Google Apps services, including Google Docs, Gmail, and Google Calendar. Classroom saves time and paper, and makes it easy to create classes, distribute assignments, communicate, and stay organized.

Teachers can quickly see who has or hasn't completed the work, and provide direct, real-time feedback and grades right in Classroom.

Take this workshop to get your own Google Classroom started with your students.

Blended Learning Workshop for Secondary Ed - Making it Work

Have you heard about Blended Learning and are interested in integrating it in your classroom? Not sure what Blended Learning is? Blended Learning is a combination of digital content and activity with face-to-face content and activity. It encourages more independent work outside of the classroom, but then reinforces student's work with follow up activities in person. It also allows teachers to tailor what materials they provide based on students' ability levels or learning styles. This workshop will be geared towards middle school or high school level and ties in well with Google Apps for Education.
