MealTime Overview

MealTime is a computerized systems used to track student meal purchases. You can deposit funds electronically or through the school. Students' fingers are scanned to access their account. If you would like to opt out of the finger scan process, please visit http://ocsd62.org/nutrition-services/mealtime Please note that all new students and incoming kindergarteners may begin using the system on September 9th.

You can access Meal Time online at http://ocsd62.org/mealtime

Calling ALL 5th Graders

We are beginning to put together our Safety Patrol/Fire Brigade team for this upcoming year. For this leadership position your child will need to have transportation to and/or from school on the days they work. If your child is interested please email Michelle Bugni at michelle.bugni@orecity.k12.or.us with your child’s name.

School Attendance -Arrive Before 8am

Students are tardy starting at 8:00am. Research shows missing 2 or more days during the first month of school has a huge impact on your child's academic and social development. Please give yourself plenty of time for drop off.

Remember all family members wishing to walk their child to the classroom must sign into the office and wear a badge.

Volunteer

We hope you considering volunteering this school year. There are many opportunities to help; including attending a field trip, laminating certificates, reading with students, and much more. All volunteers are required to go through our background check process EVERY YEAR. This is free. All you need to do is complete the online form found here: http://ocsd62.org/volunteer

After the Bell

Community Education offers day camps and after school care. Unfortunately, After the Bell is currently at capacity for McLoughlin. Please continue to visit http://ocsd62.org/community-education for the most current information. We have a list of local childcare providers available at the school upon request. Please note that we do not endorse these providers.

School Bond Money at Work

As part of the safety and security upgrades new door knobs were installed on every room inside the building. These door knobs lock from the inside and outside, making it much easier for teachers to quickly secure their classroom/pod. Visit http://ocschoolbond.org/ for the most current information.
