Week of October 10th, 2021
Message from the Principal
Spirit Week of RESPECT went well at Davenport! The students and staff took part by wearing the color blue, PJS, the color green to respect the earth, and of course EHT Gear to show how respectful our EAGLES are!
Next week is School Bus Safety Week! Please continue to encourage the students to amke good choices while riding our EHT buses! Our bus drivers help to transport our students to and from school safely and we are grateful to have them!
STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT
2nd Graders Focus on Feelings
Mrs. Taylor's pullout resource class at Davenport Elementary did a lesson on character feelings. They listened to a book called "It's Pumpkin Day, Mouse." The mouse in the story decorated the pumpkins with all different faces. The class talked about how their facial expressions can show how a character is feeling. After discussing character feelings, they then completed a hands on activity; each making a jack-o'-lantern that showed how they were feeling that day.
