DESCRIPTION

Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument, that has survived through many storms and land destruction. The original constuction has suffered from weather damage and human pillage of its rock over millenia. There are 3 Stonehenges. The one I'm studying is in Wiltshire, England. The stonehenge was revised and remodeled more than 2,000 years ago. The current site has only a few of the original stones. It gets over 800,00 visitors per year. These stones are almost perfectly aligned with the summer solstice. The Stonehenge is one of the most popular topics to study in archaeology.
