Oak Ridge Family Focus
December 8th Edition
A Message from Student Council
Our Student Council just held their first meeting and discussed important events coming up. Please see their December newsletter.
Quick Tip: Homework
We know sometimes helping with homework may be challenging since it has been awhile or we are not sure if the answer is correct. Try using the boomerang model when helping your child(ren) with homework. Ask them questions like "How do you know that is correct?" or "What tools/notes can help you?" This helps students focus on their thinking (rather than the answer) and puts them in the driver seat when it comes to their learning. As always, if you need additional support, please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher.
Have a great week and go Mustangs!
