Teacher Appreciation

I know that the celebration was a little earlier than usual. Knowing how busy the schedule becomes in May, our PTA wanted to be sure to find a time to appreciate the work of our staff. We will still celebrate National Teacher Appreciation week in May, but this is a nice way to prepare for spring break.

Local Heros

*Thank you Gretchen Huff for coming to Berkmar HS last Saturday to support the Readers Rally Team.

*Cara Steed for going the extra mile to make the day special for a teacher:-)

expectations in writing instruction.

Kindergarten, first, and second grade

should attend to: learn to teach opinion,

information, and narrative writing with

increasing complexity and sophistication;

explore the importance of weaving in

engaging mentor texts to foster a strong

reading/writing connection; discover new

practices that create opportunities for

your students to write across the

You do not need to have any experience or expertise in this area. The club would begin next school year. Let me know if you would be interested. Thanks!
