Vocabulary acquisition is vital to academic success. Vocabulary is important to every discipline and provides a foundation for further learning. What's more, vocabulary is an important ingredient in helping students read, write, speak and think more effectively.

Northwest Area Education Agency provides the online resource, Vocabulary.com for teachers and students for the purpose of helping students gain vocabulary knowledge. Peter Griffin, from Vocabulary.com, will be training all interested teachers and educators how to use this resource effectively.
