Story Walks At Washington Franklin

Story Walks are kind of a new craze taking place in public parks and schools as well. The pages of a book are displayed on individual signs, and you walk from sign to sign to read the story.

Students at Washington-Franklin are now enjoying story walks thanks to the creativity of Library Media Specialist, Mrs. Donna Womack.

The first story walk book was Our Class is a Family by Shannon Olsen. In this book, students learn "their classroom is a place where it's safe to be themselves, it's okay to make mistakes, and it's important to be a friend to others."
