When your parents go out to eat a buy food with decimals. If your jod is a cash register in a 7 eleven. Buying groceries at Walmart. Davison now. To split a cookies evenly with your friends. To separate football teams in the neighborhood. Putting your toys in boxes evenly to play with them on a trip.
How to multiply decimals.
Multiple!
Forget the decimals in the beginning and multiply regular. Then at the end you add them back on to the number. + them on the place value of the decimal.
Dividing!
If the divisor is not a whole number jump the decimal right to make it a whole number. Then divide regular if you hoped the divisor 1 you hop the dividend decimal 1.
Math!
More math
The number outside the box has to be a whole number if it is a decimal move or to the right how many times it takes. With the number inside the box if you moved the decimal outsid the box 3 times you move the decimal inside the box 3 times.
