CHALLENGE #1- Sign Up for Twitter!
Create your account, here: https://twitter.com/signup.
If you already have an account, help someone else get set up!
Share your Twitter handle, on the Idaho Educators Google Doc. Follow your colleagues!
CHALLENGE #2 - Get "Real" and Bust out a Bio!
If you are new to Twitter and haven't yet changed it, your photo will be a "ghost profile". Take a minute to change the ghost to a picture. This doesn't have to be your face, it could be something that represents who you are. Write a short biography that lets other educators know who are and what you do.
CHALLENGE #3 - Create your first Tweet
Create a tweet with a quick introduction of yourself and add the hashtag #IETA20 or #IDedchat
CHALLENGE #4 - Take a Selfie!
Take a selfie, (a real photo of yourself) and mention an educator in the tweet. Not sure who to include? Use @burgessdave or @averyteach and expect a reply! Don't forget to add #IETA20 or #IDedchat
CHALLENGE #5 - Retweet Inspiration or Challenge
Read through some tweets at #IIETA20, #IDedchat, #LeadLAP, or #JoyfulLeaders. Retweet at least three tweets that inspire or challenge you. OR "retweet with comment" and add to the original thought. Don't forget to include the hashtag #IETA20 or #IDedchat
CHALLENGE #6 - Shout out for your School or District
Share a bright spot about your classroom, school, or district. Tell Your Story! Add the #IETA20 or #IDedchat hashtag.
CHALLENGE #7 - Find Edus to Follow
Check out this list of Educators on Twitter: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Byy7ltwasZA8ajRJZVBLSEhxNU0/view Find at least three and see what they tweet about. If their tweets interest you, follow them!
CHALLENGE #8 - Set Up TweetDeck
Go to TweetDeck and sign in with your Twitter account. Create columns for #IDedchat, #IETA20, and two other hashtags you are interested in. http://www.cybraryman.com/edhashtags.html to find many educational hashtags to follow!
CHALLENGE #9 - Participate in a Twitter Chat
