JDRF is coming to A.T. Allen in February!
Our school is proud to host the JDRF Kids Walk celebration on Friday, February 23rd. Our goal is to raise $8,000. Last year we raised $11,537, that’s more than any other Cabarrus County or Charlotte Mecklenburg School!
During our fundraising campaign, there will be lots of fun activities to build excitement and participation.
Here’s how it works:
- Students will bring home fundraising envelopes to collect cash and check donations. Make checks payable to JDRF.
- Each student will receive 10 paper shoes in their envelope. For each donation (dollar amount is not important) please fill out a shoe with the donor’s name and return it to your child’s class.
- Students can register online with the help of a parent at A.T. Allen’s page at: http://www2.jdrf.org/goto/atallen. Once registered, students can create a personal fundraising page to share their story and send emails to friends and family members asking for their support.
- Bring in your loose coins to vote for your favorite teacher challenge before school and at lunch. Will Mr. Carr eat a cricket? Will Mr. Irwin shave his head? Will Mr. Sachnin be crowned “Mr. JDRF” with a crown and tutu?
- Wear blue on Friday for our JDRF walk on Friday February 23rd.
- The top individual fundraiser from each grade will receive two (2) tickets to Carowinds!
A.T. Allen's Drama Club presents "WILLY WONKA KIDS" March 2nd & 3rd at Mt. Pleasant Hight School 7:00pm
Families will be able to see the show on March 2nd & 3rd at 7:00 pm
Tickets will be on sale in February to Drama Club families first
We look forward to this amazing production that our 4th and 5th graders work on all year!
