Lake Ripley Elementary School

We look forward to making your child’s experience in kindergarten a happy one, and we are eager to see you and your child at Kindergarten Round Up on Friday, April 26th at Lake Ripley Elementary.

Two sessions are available @

9:00am-11:00am or

12:30pm-2:30pm.


Please come to the session assigned to you. If you have not received a letter with a session assignment, call 320-693-2436 Cindy Geislinger to schedule a session.


If you are unable to attend this important meeting or are not planning to send your child to Kindergarten at Lake Ripley School, please contact the school office at 320-693-2436.

Parents and children will participate in special orientation sessions that will include student activities with a kindergarten teacher, information and registration on the school’s parent portal website, a bus ride, and snack. Parents will have an opportunity to meet with kindergarten staff in a small group setting to learn about our program and ask questions.

Vision and Hearing screening can be done at this time or in August when your child returns for Kindergarten assessment. Please plan to bring the following information with you on April 26th:

  1. Completed Student Health Form

  2. Updated Immunization Records

To begin Kindergarten a child needs: 5 DTaP/DT, 4 Polio, 2 MMR, 3 Hep B, 2 Varicella (or doctor’s note to verify history of disease). Please bring clinic or MIIC record shots given.

Online Registration

During Kindergarten Round Up the technology staff will assist you in our online registration process. You will be entering data regarding your child into our online registration system, or verifying data that was collected during preschool screening. Please bring with you emergency contact information, guardian addresses and phone numbers, daycare info, and list of medications / conditions you need the nurse to know about.

Food Service & Nutrition

Applications for free/reduced meals may also be started at Kindergarten Round Up or from home online then updated again in the fall. To find out if you qualify, we ask that all families fill out the online form (paper copies can be made available). Your application also helps the school qualify for education funds and discounts! Please fill out an application.
