WCSD Seeks 2020-2021 Budget Advisory Committee Members
Happy New Year! If you have always wanted to learn more about the district budgeting process, please plan on volunteering as a member of the Budget Advisory Committee (BAC) for the 2020-2021 fiscal year. This important advisory committee assists the district by providing the unique perspective of parents, business owners, and community members on our budget communication and process. There will be four meeting times between January and April 2020 and each meeting will be one hour long.
Meetings are scheduled for: Thursday, January 23, Thursday, February 27, Thursday, March 19, and Thursday, April 16. Light snacks will be provided from 5:00-5:15 p.m. with all meetings starting promptly at 5:15 p.m. and ending at 6:15 p.m. Meetings will be held in the Webster Schroeder High School library conference room. Interested residents should contact Lisa Borrino at Lisa_Borrino@webstercsd.org or 216-0017. Thank you in advance for your willingness to participate.
Important Information for Potential Weather-Related Closings/Cancellations
‘Tis the season when snow and cold can sometimes result in school closings! It’s important that all families are fully prepared in the event that Webster CSD needs to close school for the day or send students home early. Please make a plan and discuss it with your child. Should the weather necessitate school closings and cancellations, Webster CSD families will be notified via the district’s automated calling system, Infinite Campus’ Student and Parent Portal. Parents can modify how they get this information (text, phone call, email) through the Contact Preference tab on the portal.
An even faster way to get this news is to follow district social media: Facebook.com/WebsterCentralSchools, Twitter @wcsdproud, and superintendent’s Twitter @superwebstercsd, and the district website websterschools.org. Local TV and radio stations will also be informed.
Please note that when the schools are closed due to weather, all aquatics and community education classes are also cancelled along with all programs and events taking place in Webster CSD buildings. WonderCare may be the exception; please consult their website, websterschools.org/wondercare, and social media Facebook.com/WonderCare and Twitter @wondercarewcsd.
