Fifth Grade MARCH Newsletter
ANOTHER BUSY MONTH FOR US!
TESTING!
Fifth grade is involved in a lot of testing. We are starting with the NWEA tests on March 14th. These tests help us determine how your child learns best and his/her problem solving skills. NEXT month, your child will also be taking the MCA’s, a state test. You can help your child feel at ease with these tests by assuring that your child….
-Gets a good night sleep.
-Eats a healthy breakfast.
-Understands that these tests are IMPORTANT and that they should TAKE THEIR TIME and DO THEIR VERY BEST!
** THESE DATES COULD CHANGE. YOUR CHILD'S TEACHER WILL INFORM YOU IF THEY DO.**
MINUTE TO WIN IT REWARD DAY FOR 5TH GRADERS!
On March 20th, ALL 5th graders who are caught up with their daily work will be able to participate in a MINUTE TO WIN IT activity! Please encourage your child to get their work done so that they can participate! Students who aren't caught up will use this time as a study hall to work on their missing work! As a reminder, 5th grade does NOT assign additional homework to students. Their homework is work that isn't completed throughout the school day. This is to help prepare them for the model used in middle school!
