What Are We Learning???
This week we are talking about the number seven (writing, quantifying, tallying, using a ten frame, etc.) with Number Bear. We will introduce the letters H & T. We will label, practice making them with our wooden lines, talk about words that start with those letters and practice writing them.
This week we will continue our tree study. We will label the parts of a tree, discuss who lives in trees (this is our focus question of the week) and complete a sort of those who do/do not live in trees. Last week we went of a leaf walk and looked at trees near our school. We will continue to observe 1 special tree throughout the year. The students named their tree. The morning class named their tree Kaylee and the afternoon class named theirs Cheese :)

We will follow directions to place our picture into a named color (red, blue, green). We will practice asking and answering the question "Who has the ____?" using colored leaves. We will continue with saying more verses to the nursery rhyme "Hickory, Dickory, Dock".
