September is a time to remember! It brings a calm and settled feeling from the start of the school year and also ramps up expectations for learning. Our 5th graders ae knocking Science out the park at a record high, K-2 math is looking great and goals are in place to get reading up and on its way!
This week we hosted our very 1st opening house ceremony games, where each house competed for points on the board! Thanks to Mrs. Mason our PBIS Coach and Gifted TAG Teacher, for leading the charge to create an event that built a sense of belonging and created a joyful school experience for all of our school community! She and the special area team pulled off a September to remember event! Although there were some top points scored, we were all winners for teamwork!

Review the School-Parent Compacts
October is the month of signatures from parents. A School-Family Compact is a written agreement with parents/guardians, students, teachers, and staff developed together. It explains how parents/guardians, students, teachers, and staff will work together to make sure all students improve and reach grade-level standards. We will send out more information on how to sign off on your child's version of the compacts. in the meantime you can find the documents on our school website. Click here to see the links to each grade level.
We Need Parent Input

Do you know how water travels?
Did you know the water cycle doesn't have a specific starting and stopping point? Well our 4th graders learned this science phenomenon through an inquiry activity and created a water cycle making the various locations they were able to identify in the stations they visited! Ms. Harmon, Ms. Pagan & Ms. Jackson ensured the fun was alive and the learning was relevant! (Ms. Harmon's Class in photo)
Helmets, Reflectors & The Georgia Highway Safety Grant Program
In conjunction with the Georgia Highway Safety Grant Program, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department provided a 30-45 minute class on bicycle and pedestrian safety. They gave out helmets and reflector armbands to the 4th grade class at College Park Elementary. This partnership between Fulton County Sheriff’s Department and College Park Elementary is needed and appreciated
